Vince Woods (Tenor) is a senior studying Vocal Performance at the UMKC Conservatory of Music and Dance. Over the past three years, Woods has had the pleasure of performing in many of the Conservatory’s main stage opera productions such as Die lustige Witwe (Lehár), Cendrillon (Massenet), and Kurt Weill’s Street Scene. Most recently, Vince had the privilege of singing the tenor solo from Bernstein’s Chichester Psalms at the Conservatory’s Finale concert in Helzberg Hall at the Kauffman Center. His next musical endeavors include the role of Monostatos in Mozart’s Die Zauberflöte and a senior recital to be performed in the spring of 2016. He currently studies voice with Vinson Cole, and has also studied under the tutelage of Dale Morehouse and Chris Munce. He greatly enjoys singing in both the solo and choral setting.
